Ensari Caymaz

I was born in Şanlıurfa in 1991. The education I received in different cities helped shape my desire to be of benefit to others. During my years at the Faculty of Theology, I received education in Islamic and economic fields in various cities across Türkiye.

In 2015, I went to Malawi, Africa, for a short-term aid project. What I witnessed opened the doors to a lifelong journey for me. The struggle of the people of Malawi against poverty and lack of educational opportunities left a deep mark on my heart. Instead of returning, I chose to stay there and support them. In this decision, the support of my family, who have always been by my side, was my greatest source of strength.

In 2019, I launched a slipper campaign for children in Malawi through social media. With the contributions of you, our valued supporters, we delivered slippers to 367 children. This first success opened the door to new projects carrying hope from village to village. Together, we implemented many initiatives, from education and healthcare services to food assistance and agricultural projects.

Over the years, I have learned that real change is possible not only by meeting urgent needs, but by creating sustainable solutions. The 10 years I have spent in Malawi have shown me that “teaching someone to fish” rather than “giving them a fish” creates lasting transformation.

Today, I still live in Malawi and continue working through sustainable projects to improve the education, economic independence, and quality of life of women in need and orphaned children. I know that small changes open the door to great tomorrows filled with hope.
