Approximately one-tenth of the world's population does not have access to clean water and is forced to drink contaminated water. Every day, around 1,000 children die from diseases such as cholera, diarrhea, and typhoid caused by unsafe water. More than 2 million people lose their lives each year due to drought, disease, and difficulties accessing water.

Drought, poverty, rapid population growth, and pollution threaten access to safe drinking water. In a world where millions of people lack access to clean and healthy water, waterborne diseases continue to increase. Particularly in Africa and many other parts of the world, people have to walk for kilometers every day just to meet their basic water needs.

As DCF, we build long-lasting and accessible clean water wells to support public health.

Through these wells, children who previously had to walk for hours to collect water, sometimes sacrificing their education, can attend school regularly.

These water wells also make a significant contribution to the development and sustainability of livestock farming in the areas where they are built. They can also be used to irrigate agricultural land and are particularly vital in regions affected by drought.

TECHNICAL FEATURES OF THE WATER WELLS

Depth: 40–50 meters

Surface Construction: Concrete structure with a hand pump system.

IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD OF WATER WELL PROJECTS

The location of the water well and the assessment of local needs are determined by our teams.

The construction of a water well takes approximately 2 weeks.

The project implementation period may be extended in cases of natural disasters or extraordinary circumstances.

WARRANTY PERIOD AND MONITORING

The lifespan of water wells may vary depending on underground water reserves, climate conditions, usage intensity, and external factors. Depending on these conditions, the average lifespan of a water well is approximately 20–25 years.

The company provides a 1-year warranty for the water well project. During this period, the inspection and maintenance of the wells are carried out by the company.

At the end of the one-year warranty period, responsibility for the water wells is transferred to the local community leaders. Any technical problems reported to us are identified and repaired by the company.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

You can come together with your family, group of friends, colleagues, or relatives and sponsor the construction of a water well.

You can also contribute by donating a share of a water well, helping provide people in need with access to clean water.
